111. Labour Officers. The Chief Labour Officer is graded with the Chief Health Officer, with an Inspector of works Grade I and with the Chief Inspector of Police, which seemed to the Commission to be the right grading. Labour inspectors' salaries (Grade I and Grade II) are proposed at a rate which equals them with police and health inspectors. The low salary paid to Women Labour Officers Grade II during the probationary period assUME S that normally during that period they will be wuder training at the University or the Technical School. already they are trained the initial pay proposed is doubled.
